We did not choose our farm name by chance. The Latin term Pomaria means “apple meadows”. It fits perfectly, because our house is surrounded by apple fields.
The workers’ house on the property, which was once owned by Count Khuenburg, was energetically renovated in 2022. In the annex are two comfortable suites, each with panoramic balcony and whirlpool, from which you have a dreamlike view of the wine village of Kaltern and the Überetscher castle world. Due to our proximity to Lake Kaltern and the cycle path, our farm is an ideal starting point for cycling tours.
During your holiday you will get an insight into our daily work. Sonja, a trained apple ambassador, takes our guests on a weekly tour of our apple orchard and shows them what activities are involved during the year. There you will receive exciting information about apple growing. Of course, a tasting is not to be missed afterwards.
At farm Pomaria, no two days are the same. In the same way, your holiday is unique in every season – there is always something new and to discover and different work in the apple orchard is on the agenda.
In spring you are enveloped by the colours and scents of the apple blossom.
In summer, you benefit from our proximity to the lake and can see how the apples grow.
In autumn you can look over our shoulder at the apple harvest. You are also welcome to help out yourself.
Extensive winter hikes in South Tyrol’s south now await you.
“We consider ourselves lucky to live where Mediterranean flair meets South Tyrolean down-to-earthness and are particularly pleased when you spend your holidays with us.”
